I was what many would consider a well-rounded individual – did well in school, played the flute, was a strong athlete – but I was plagued with many significant health issues since I was 6. Those health problems even influenced my decision on where to go for college. I didn’t let that stop me and went on to receive my Bachelor of Arts degree from Westmont College in Montecito, CA with a pre-med emphasis, majoring in English and minoring in Chemistry. I was set on becoming a medical doctor until my internships in hospitals, home-healthcare job and my own escalating health crisis drove me to seek something more and was introduced to the stunning world of chiropractic. It wasn't a matter of belief; it just made sense and it works!
Even before getting well, I went on to study at Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, CA where I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic Degree (D.C.). I was actively involved with the Student American California Chiropractic Association, Community Outreach, Sports Chiropractic Club, student teaching, and Clinic Abroad to Brazil. I fell in love with a town called Petaluma and moved there in 2004 and has been serving the North Bay since then.
In order to be able to bring my unique style and service to the community, I started Heart and Hands Chiropractic, an expression of why and how I want to share the gift of health. I believe that behind every person there is a story and therefore I don't just look at the surface but dig beneath it. I utilize various techniques, including Diversified, Activator, Gonstead, and SOT because I see everyone as an individual with individual needs. Since chiropractic saved my life, my vision is to help as many people (no matter what age, size, shape or form they are) gain as much balance and health as possible from the inside out. My love and gratitude for chiropractic and my patients are evident in the smiles and laughter that resonant throughout the office. I have been so fortunate that my family has been fully supportive of my endeavors and they have been and continue to be a vibrant part of my life and practice. My patients know they are receiving the quality of care I provide my own family.
My vision is of a world of happy, healthy, well people where the sole role of a chiropractor is to provide wellness care. Until then, I will serve the sick and suffering and help well-adjusted patients continue having the ride of a lifetime.
